It feels easy to summarise Sydney-based duo Hannahband as good people making good music. When you strip back the restless, gritty energy of their live shows, the bare bones of their sound is honest, well written songs. A good balance of optimism amongst waves of pessimism makes room for simultaneous hopelessness and hopefulness, with lyrics that tackle the human condition with accountability and heart. We're not sure if we deserve them, but they're definitely the band we need right now.
We caught up with Naif and Marnie and filmed two songs from their new album, Quitting Will Improve Your Heath. You can catch them this month in Adelaide at Scumfest 2016.
